The Marigolds bring soulful vocals, relaxed acoustic sets and a full dance-floor sound to weddings, corporate events and private celebrations across Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Featuring lead vocalist and DJ Vanessa, this versatile act moves from jazz over drinks to pop and R&B favourites as the evening gathers pace.
At the heart of the sound is Vanessa’s warm, expressive voice and an instinct for reading the room. Her performances leave space for conversation during cocktails and dinner, then lift the energy when your guests are ready to dance. Acoustic duo, trio, live band and DJ + Live options give you the flexibility to shape the music around your event.
Vanessa brings more than 15 years of professional experience across Australia and internationally. A graduate of the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, her credits include Seabourn Luxury Cruise Line, the national Australian tour of Rolling Thunder Vietnam and Warner Bros. Movie World. That background in live music and musical theatre brings musical range, stage confidence and a polished sense of occasion.
For an intimate celebration, a corporate reception or a wedding that builds into a party, we’ll recommend the right Marigolds format for your venue, guests and run sheet. Tell Event Entertainers about the moments you want the music to shape, and we’ll take it from there.
“Vanessa, from the very beginning, was absolutely incredible. Her personable, organised and frequent communication made us feel very confident in our decision to have her as a part of our day. We had Vanessa and Vinnie for our ceremony and cocktail hour, as well as a six-piece band + DJ for our reception. They absolutely nailed it. All of our guests have commented on how amazing the music was and how they created the perfect atmosphere for the entire day. Every song was perfect! We could not recommend Vanessa highly enough!”
Wedding, Byron Bay
“Vanessa and Vinnie exceeded our every expectation!
Beautiful acoustic covers for our arrival/cocktail hour and reception dinner, then dispensing banger after banger on the decks.
Vanessa was very approachable and happy to work with us to make our day that little bit more special. With every request or tweak we raised, she communicated quickly and professionally, which allowed us to focus on other areas without worry.
Musically, the duo are dynamic and masters of their crafts. Vanessa’s vocals mixed with Vinnie’s guitar work are certainly a power combo, which left most of our guests singing along or just sitting in awe.
One request we had was some heavier-style songs spun into acoustic versions, and the guys made it happen, which was fantastic.
We are so happy we found Vanessa and Vinnie. Thanks again, guys!”
Wedding, Hillstone St Lucia

Thank you again for being such a pleasure to deal with! We would absolutely love to work with you again in the future.”
The Tropic
“We are so grateful for the energy and atmosphere you brought to the event. You absolutely made the night, and the fact that you managed to get a few people onto the dance floor was an added bonus!
Thank you again for helping make the evening such a success. We received fantastic feedback and look forward to reaching out in the future.”
