Eva and Ivan’s Sydney Wedding at The Lands of Capella, with The Uprights

Married on 5 September 2026, the couple celebrated across The Mint and The Lands of Capella in Sydney. Planned and styled by Bow Creative, their day brought together beautiful architecture, thoughtful styling and music for each chapter of the celebration.

A romantic ceremony at The Mint

At The Mint, sweeping white fabric framed the ceremony setting, with arrangements of white calla lilies, flowering branches and greenery lining the aisle. Chocolate-toned seating added depth to the soft palette, creating a setting that felt both romantic and contemporary.

Your Day by Kerrin led the ceremony, with music by Cadena Strings accompanying this part of the day.

Blaise Bell’s photographs capture the couple against Sydney’s sandstone streets and grand façades: Eva’s flowing gown, Ivan’s classic black tie and quiet moments together between the celebrations. The mix of colour and black-and-white photography gives the gallery a wonderfully nostalgic feel.

Candlelight and rich textures at The Lands of Capella

For the reception, the palette continued through deep brown drapery, ivory table linen and sculptural flowers by Mrs Gibbons. Silver trays held personalised place cards, while candlelight and amber lighting warmed the room.

The details rewarded a closer look: delicate stripes in the linen, long stems reaching across the tables and flowering branches spilling towards the floor. Together, they created a reception that felt considered and welcoming, with plenty of space for the people and moments at its heart.

Live reception music by The Uprights

The Uprights joined Eva and Ivan at The Lands of Capella to provide live music for the dinner reception, welcoming guests and performing through the entrée and main-course portions of the evening.

With sets arranged around the speeches, music was woven into the flow of dinner. It gave the reception a live musical presence while leaving room for conversation, toasts and time together around the tables.

This is a part of wedding entertainment we love: helping shape the atmosphere while everyone settles in to celebrate. The dinner hours deserve their own soundtrack, and Eva and Ivan’s reception made a beautiful setting for it.

The evening’s music also included a separately booked DJ, with the running order moving into the DJ-led celebration later in the night.
