Erin and Michael’s Ormeggio Wedding with Luke Michael

The song for the walk down the aisle. The one that sends you back out together. The familiar melody that welcomes you into the next part of the celebration. Erin and Michael’s Ormeggio wedding music was built around those moments, with Luke Michael performing solo for their ceremony and canapés.

Married on 29 August 2026 at Ormeggio at The Spit, the couple brought a personal selection of songs to their music brief. Days Like These Events handled planning, photography and coordination, with Liana Ball as their celebrant.

A waterfront ceremony with its own soundtrack

Boats beyond the windows, white florals beside the aisle and chairs gathered close to the ceremony: the photographs place Erin and Michael’s celebration firmly by the water. It’s a setting that gives a solo musician room to bring warmth without overwhelming the occasion.

Their ceremony selections paired familiar songs with a clear purpose. An instrumental arrangement of “Perfect” was selected for the bridal party, followed by “Can’t Help Falling in Love” for Erin’s entrance. “Stand by Me” was requested for the signing, and “Better Together” for the recessional.

For the entrance, Luke’s brief was precise: begin as soon as Erin appeared. Those cues matter. Live ceremony music needs to follow the people walking, leaving room for the moment to unfold at its own pace.

From the ceremony to canapés

Luke’s booking continued into canapés, carrying live acoustic music into the time for drinks and conversation. The couple’s entrance had its own selection: “Just the Two of Us”, with Joseph Solomon’s version requested in their brief. “You’re Still the One” followed as a welcome song.

This is where a considered music plan earns its place. Each transition has a purpose, while the sets in between give everyone time to settle in together. For Erin and Michael, one solo artist connected the ceremony with the gathering that followed.
