Event Entertainers started many years ago with the love and passion for music and management. It all started with the birth of Sydney Acoustic Duo, Duke Music. Shorty after, they added a band, along with a handful of some of Sydney’s finest artists, and the rest is history. As the years went by, more and more requests for bookings came through and the demand for new artists increased. Event Entertainers has grown from strength to strength to what it is today, representing some of the finest young artists in Sydney, Melbourne, and soon across Australia. Event Entertainers has fast become one of the leading Corporate and Wedding Entertainment Agencies in Australia and are inspiring a new generation of performers to make a living from their craft.
Josephine Ison, our Director of Event Entertainers was recently invited back to her old stomping ground to inspire a younger generation of artists, with valuable insight into the industry. The Australian Institute of Music (AIM) is where Josie studied Entertainment Management and students got the chance to hear her tips and advice for booking gigs. Josie is also a graduate from Deakin University where she also studied Arts & Entertainment Management. Combined with her performance training at National Institute of Dramatic Arts (NIDA), Josie shared decades of experience from both sides of the business with AIM students.
